About the Founder of SilkYard Studio

Sam Banks is the head seamstress at Blue Rose Studio. Her background is in intimate wear, and she established the first on site r&d sew room for Spanx Atlanta. She has roots with many of the major bridal salons in the Metro Atlanta, East and West Cobb regions. Her passions are customer service and bridal fit.

With over 20 years of experience in garment construction, alteration and couture design consultation, she is a master seamstress. Her portfolio spans custom projects in bridal, European lace and fabric sourcing, working directly with designers and nearly over two decades of bridal and formal wear alteration. She brings a unique blend of technical precision and creative vision to every piece that enters the Blue Rose studio.
